A 1:1 prototype of power generation system based upon cross-flow water turbines
Résumé
This paper deals with the conception and building of an electrical power generation prototype based upon the cross-flow water turbines. The structure has been tested in grid-connected conditions in order to identify the hydrodynamic characteristics of the prime mover and to evaluate the energy efficiency of the overall energy conversion chain. The real-world tests confirm the preliminary conclusion issued from simulations and assessments previously performed.
