Programmation d'automates industriels : Adaptation par des débutants d'une méthode de spécification de procédures automatisées

This paper presents the way in which control engineering students use -and modify- the specification method they learned to analyse the functioning of an automated process (a method based on the Grafcet formalism). The students were studied during a "programmable controller" program design task in which they had to make a functional analysis of the functioning of an automated process. The study shows the specific role of prerequisites. The students modified the Grafcet method they had learned in order to adapt it to their mental representation of the functioning they had to analyse. In particular, they did this by processing the aspects of the process directly related to its goal before the process prerequisites. The results are interpreted in terms of the different statuses of these aspects in the students' mental representations.

On a étudié l'utilisation par des automaticiens débutants d'une méthode de spécification (Grafcet) pour l'analyse du fonctionnement d'un procédé automatisé. Les élèves modifient la méthode enseignée pour l'adapter à leur représentation de ce fonctionnement, notamment en traitant les aspects de la procédure reliés directement au but avant ses prérequis. Ces résultats sont interprétés en termes du statut différent de ces aspects dans leur représentation en mémoire.
