In this work, we have designed and developed a novel approach for data aggregation in Wireless Sensor Networks using CCNx protocol. The developed solution has been implemented in the Contiki operating system and evaluated using the Cooja simulator. We have compared the performance of our proposed solution with the SPIN protocol in terms of the number of exchanged messages and response times.
