Middleware for Global e-Maintenance
Résumé
The industrial globalisation leads to companies organizing their production on distributed sites. To maintain such complex process, some heterogeneous tools exist. The PROTEUS project aims to develop an integration platform facilitating global maintenance. This article gives an overview of the proposed middleware, which fulfils the requirements for global maintenance applications. It is based on Web service technology allowing complex function calls over the World Wide Web. Moreover, some specific services are introduced to handle the different tools and actors involving in maintenance process.
