An iterative method for the dynamic modeling of ultra-short pulse generation in nonlinear optical ring resonator

Résumé

We present an iterative method for the dynamic modeling of ultra-short pulse generation in nonlinear optical ring resonators. This method is based on a RK4IP solver of the nonlinear Schrodinger equation. It allows the study of the dynamic regime leading to the formation of Kerr frequency combs in a nonlinear optical resonator passing through the formation of turing patterns, the modulation instability regime and finally the soliton regime.
