Abstract : As already studied by a few authors, the interlayer inclusion of VACNTs forests in laminated composite parts by injection-CVD process appears to be a promising way to improve their mechanical properties, and open the paths towards new applications such as ballistic armors. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the effects of the injection-CVD synthesis on the mechanical strength and more specifically the interlaminar shear strength of the nanostructured composites.
