Y2O3 nanoprecipitates in YBCO thin films obtained by thermal- MOCVD

Résumé

Disk-shaped Y2O3 nanoprecipitates were observed to appear systematically in Ba-deficient YBa2Cu3O7 (YBCO) films obtained by thermal MOCVD. These disks have an average size of 30nm in diameter and 4nm thick, and face parallel to the (001) YBCO planes. The observation by HREM reveals the epitaxial growth of the Y2O3 inclusions without affecting the stacking sequence of the surrounding YBCO matrix.
