THE ROLE OF TREND ANALYSIS IN SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT AND VALIDATION

The aim of this paper is to show how reliability trend analysis can help the designer in controlling the progress of the development activities and appreciating the efficiency of the test programs. Software reliability growth is first characterized and practical recommendations for trend analysis are discussed.
