Analyse du comportement en traction de stratifiés composites entaillés en utilisant la corrélation d'images ainsi que le suivi infrarouge

Résumé

With the aim of studying the sensitivity to damage tolerance in thin laminated composites structures, strain gradients local effects like encountered at notch tips are particularly difficult to apprehend in terms of generated damages and failure mechanisms. Such gradients can appear on aeronautical structures in the case of a notch on the fuselage as a consequence of a turbine blade fragment going through the fuselage. In such a case, the study of damage and failure is even more complex due to the design singularities, curvature, scale effects, combined loadings including eventually pressurized areas. The study case will be a notched plate under tension. Three stacking sequences containing the same numbers of plies have been tested; only the positions of the plies are different from one laminate to another. From the necessity to investigate at the right scale, the physical behaviors involved, an appropriate investigation approach is proposed based on different in situ damage monitoring techniques, such as infrared thermography and digital image correlation. An influence of the stacking sequence and more particularly of the 0° plies interfaces has been detected and discussed.
