Nanocomposites, composites à matrices nanochargées : conditions de mise en œuvre et propriétés.

Abstract : Since the mid 1990’s doping initially thermosetting (TS) and more recently thermoplastic (TP) matrices has received a great interest from academic researchers and industries. As regards high performances thermoplastic matrix composites it should be mentioned that after something like a 10 years break, there has been a revival of interest and a growth in research activities. The work performed at ICA (Toulouse) upon polymeric matrices doped with fillers and upon their composites (long fibres reinforcements) was devoted to the two kind of polymers (TS and TP). As presented in this paper, in all our studies doping the matrices was thought keeping in mind the composite manufacturing basic requirements. The links between the doping particles (i.e. fillers), the material properties and manufacturing conditions were analysed. This paper constitutes a synthesis of our research work in that field carried out for something around fifteen years
