2-Methoxyprop-2-yl peroxides were synthesized and evaluated in vitro against Plasmodium falciparum. These acyclic artemisinin-related peroxides revealed moderate to good activity but were devoided of alkylating property towards the synthetic model of haeme Mn II-TPP.
