Through its tremendous versatility, the arrival of LED in the world of lighting offers new perspectives in all sectors: industrial, residential, tertiary ...Its flexibility of use, this ability to adapt to all situations in terms of intensity, color temperature and spectrum, its long lifespan (up to 100,000 hours compared to 1,500 hours for an incandescent lamp ), its robustness and its energy frugality present it as an out-of-competition candidate in our daily lives and for our human eyes.But the arrival of this little foreigner in a world that knew only incandescence and gas-discharge lamps shakes up an old established order and arouses curiosity. Its ability to adapt spectrally, from warm whites to cold whites and across the entire chromatic range, allows all possible studies. In humans, the notorious effects of blue light and cold whites (> 6500K) on melatonin and therefore on arousal are indisputable.
