Anti Windup Position control of synchronous machine with current limitation

Résumé

This paper deals with a systematic approach for design of a robust controller in presence of input saturation. The proposed approach is based on a describing function analysis of classical anti wind-up schemes. This synthesis uses a new parametrization of the anti wind-up loop. Practical result on position control of synchronous machine with current limitation exhibits the high potential of the method to avoid limit cycle risk, while preserving good performances. The experimentation involves a simulation of the plant with POSTMSYNC software and the implementation on the benchmark.
