Editorial: Feature cluster: Planning and Scheduling in Industrial and Logistic Systems

The goal of this Feature Issue was to present new operational research results on ''Planning and Scheduling in Industrial and Logistic Systems". Fifteen papers were submitted to the issue and, after a long and tedious refereeing process, only four papers were finally accepted. Three of the papers are on scheduling, but in rather different settings, and the last one proposes a novel algorithm for calculating safety stocks.
