This course was taught at Tartu University (Estonia) in 2014, at Université de Lille in 2015 and at University of the Republic (Montevideo, Uruguay). The public of the attendants of the course was made of master and doctorate students, young and senior researchers. Their research discipline was mathematics, applied mathematics, astronomy and environmental sciences. Since 2016, a shorter version of it was taught at Université de Lorraine as a part of the Master "Ingénierie Mathématique et Science des Données".
